Janet I. Jenson has practiced health care law for more than 25 years in Los Angeles and Washington D.C. In 2000, she founded Jenson, Stavros & Guelker -- a law firm specializing in the representation of physicians, large and small medical specialty groups, ambulatory surgical centers, home health care agencies, hospices, and other health care providers. She and her firm advise physicians on compliance with Stark, antitrust, anti-kickback and HIPAA, help physicians create and structure profitable business ventures and contract with insurance companies, and defend physicians being audited by insurance companies or investigated by government authorities. While in Washington D.C., she practiced health care law for more than 14 years and also served as a Chief of Staff for a member of the U.S. House of Representatives. She has published a multi-volume compilation of Medicare and Medicaid statutes and regulations, as well as a Congressional Primer on Medicare, Medicaid and Managed Care Entities. She graduated from the University of Utah College of Law where she was a William H. Leary Scholar and an Editor of the Utah Law Review. She has also served as a Revson Fellow at Georgetown University School of Law, and as a clerk for Justice Dallin H. Oaks on the Utah Supreme Court.
